Refugee Studies Specialisation was created by Charlotte Lunga
Greetings,

Do any of the partner Universities specialise in Refugee Management?

It seems this is glaringly absent in the individual course programmes - since we are talking about Migration Studies.

Will graduates be equipped to work for organisations such as UNHCR or UNOCHA?

Currently, none of the master programmes participating in EuMIGS has its main focus on refugee studies. However, most programmes offer courses on forced migrations, asylum policies, or other closely related topics. A master in migration studies equips students with the analytical tools and theoretical knowledge to understand current issues in global migrations. It is not a vocational training to work in organizations such as the UNHCR or UNOCHA but the practical and theoretical skills students acquire during their master are relevant for pursuing a career in an international organization.
